On Monday there were only 3 days left until TMac could go to his first day of preschool and soccer. He has been so excited! Last week he was having a hard time understanding what "next Thursday" meant so we made a calendar and paper chain so he could mark off days and rip off a link of the chain every morning. It has been really fun and it is cute when he wakes up excited to mark and rip! From now on Thursday mornings will be preschool and soccer with some of the moms and boys in my ward. We are really looking forward to it. TMac has some school supplies, a school backpack, a Spiderman lunch sack and a soccer bag that he is really, really excited to use. We love school backpacks and soccer gear hand me downs from Carrie! I have been going through my classroom supplies in the garage and every tub I open brings back so many fun memories. I'm excited to use some of the games and manipulatives with my own son and his buddies. Ooh, and we got the cutest cake topper from Alberstons a few months ago. It is a soccer cake topper and we got it for $1 since they were clearancing out some cake decor sets. TMac is excited to make the "welcome to the soccer team" cake today. Tomorrow morning will be very exciting. I love those things that make your child grin from ear to ear and dance with excitement. Check back tomorrow for pictures of the first day!
