Families are forever. It's a good thing because life isn't worth anything without our two boys - soon to be three boys!

New Year's Eve festivities.

Yes, I do know that it is Friday the 16th. Yep - this post would have been cuter paired with my New Year's blog background and header but it's just been a crazy year so far and I kind of want 2008 back! The last 16 days have been one health problem for all 4 of us after another and we've been hiding out at home so we wouldn't infect anyone with our various offerings. We were relatively healthy last year and we did especially well in December thank goodness but this month has not been our month so far. It is nice though that the boys are young and we can just stay home without worrying about school or sports.

So, finally here is an account of what we did for New Year's Eve this year! The above photo is of TMac running around at midnight outside with his cousins and our family. We had drums, maracas, a bullhorn and our own super loud voices so the noise was plentiful. We were at Heather's house and had a nice night of games, food, family inside jokes, bickering, teasing - the usual! I do love my family and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Tot refused to give me or Grandma a midnight kiss!

Outside making noise and drinking Martinelli's. Some people that lived in the foothills near Heather's house were shooting off really big fireworks like you would see at an amusement park. Not as many but still cool.

The prego hostess.

I wanted a nice midnight kiss but gross Tracy had other ideas. I was holding the camera out in front of us. Going on 14 years of marriage...can you tell? I think we pecked after I denied his slobbery advances several times but I can't remember. It wasn't memorable!
Tot ran some laps and circles while yelling.

Little drummer boy with his cousins A and A.

Yelling into Tracy's bullhorn.

Watching movies while the adults played games.

Yick! My parents kissing. Actually, I'm okay with it. They are nothing like the parents on Family Ties.

Thanks for a good time fam damily!

Love is...my Valentine boys.

I love my boys! I don't need to buy them clothes because my family gave me a ton in really great condition but I just had to get them matching Valentine's day shirts. They are so handsome! Neither Old Navy or Wal-Mart had Vday themed shirts for little boys so I went with these. A few grandma aged women stopped me at dinner to tell me how cute they were so I guess I did a good job.

Valentine's day activities from this week.

We had such a fun week. For family night we made Valentine treats - white chocolate dipped pretzels. TMac was so excited to make them and then take them to share at our play group potluck and Valentine party. We colored a ton of Valentine cards the next night. On Wednesday morning before play group TMac woke up lickety split (he usually wakes up really slow) and was super excited. He was pacing around the house excitedly reminding me to remember the pretzels, cards, Mac and Cheese, camera, etc. He wanted to help carry everything to the car. The play group party was fun with lots of good food and a Valentine's card exchange. It was so cute to see all of the boys handing their cards out to each other. Today when Tracy got home from work we exchanged cards and TMac helped Daddy open his gift and letter. I got to go to the day spa and get a spa pedicure - alone! The spa wasn't busy so the lady gave me an hour and a half long spa pedicure in the massage chair with a lot of free extras! It was great! When I got home I got the boys dressed in their new matching red Valentine's day shirts. They were so adorable! We went with Dana, Genni and Wyatt for dinner and playtime to John's Incredible Pizza Co. It really is incredible. They have a great buffet and then there is a whole games and rides section with the coolest rides. It was a great week! Happy Valentine's day!
